I need those pesky clips too.....funnily enough was going to ask about them earlier so glad this came up. My depos are pretty snug it's just I KNOW they're missing hehe

motors defo work and cant get clips mot is tomorow im working someone else is taking it for me they know the mot tester

also make sure the motor in your lights work for dipping them.

just go get some clips from vauxhall for a few pense. might aswell have it pass first time round

no, they didnt for me and i was quite pissed he didnt pass it anyway because he passed it last year and then failed it this year.. also i had a missing seat belt clip in the back and he done the same by passing it last year and failing this year, i even know the guy that took it in to have done for me but his boss tested it :(

they wabble a lot so presume would need them but htey wont fail wil they wont thety fit the part so it passes...

haha unlucky :( when i got mine i realised i didnt need it for one headlight, the actual black bit had snapped off the lamp so had to blow £17 on a 2nd hand one, i was trying to borrow someone elses aswell and his didnt have the black plastic bit either :(

check the rear wheel bearings for play,no furry dice hanging from the interior mirror,washers work and wiper blades not split, make sure you take it in for test with a hot engine to help with the emissions and check the brake pipes for corrosion if there is any rub it down with a bit of wet &dry and cover in grease or underseal to protect it and no the windows an't part of the test apart from the windscreen

yeh on the back of the headlight there is a peace of plastic sticking out that clips into a white thingy that is cliped into a square hole.. :) lol sorry as you can tell im not very technical

Also check if the belts release under pressure, Pull them tight and try to unclip them. I have an Mot checklist kicking about somewhere, Ill scan it up at some point.

Its Keeps the headlight secure and at the right hight...there about £7 for a pair..

just go and see if ur headlight wobbles in anyway

headlights.. make sure they have that white clip in place.. mine failed because of that. you can usualy tell if its missing just by pull/pushing the bottom of the lamp

mot time oh fun and joy


things ive checked

Horn ------- didnt work so rewired that now works
Tyres------- allmost brand new tred great
Brakes----- disks and pads not worn only had 1k on them
Hazards----all working fine
Lights-------all working fine
Number plate light---fitted wired and working
exhaust-all new


anything else obvious ive missed.....

Also windows dont work as got a new motor etc to get fitted in

is that a falure...... ive never seen them test windows when ive seen them do mot
