you cannot just wire it so that its 4 ohm and still having it taking 400WRMS!!!

its has dual 4ohm coils, so it can be wired in series to 2ohm, or parallel to 8ohm

to get more out of your sub how it is, either design a box using the plans from box designing software such as bass box pro. or go to someone who knows what their doing with box designs and tell them what you would like from the sub, and they will be able to tell you wether changing the box design will do this

if you want movement in your subs go for ones with big lips around the edge... if youve got the cash get an RE subwoofer that you will like

ported will most definatly loose the punch ported is more of heavy impact r n b and such

those links dont work for me but you need to see if you can change ohm thats the key to it can have really low wattage but high ohm or drop really low

you could run it off that if you had the power and gain turned well down.

but that'd just be a pointless waste of money buying a new amp when you have one that works fine

if your going for 2 10's i would reccomend directed audio. The 1000wrms amp would power them, i'm getting fitted this week to my 106. they are unreal, i used to swear by alpine, after my brother haveing an R12, my mate had 2 R12's and another has 2 R10's. These directed audio's sound 10x better than all of them. they really are an all round better sub.
