also with the car stationary and the engine off try bouncing the car around and see if you can hear any rattles from anywhere

or you could turn up the radio and drown out the rattling then just forget about it

yeah it does it when going over bumps or really bad roads were its rough and breaking up!!

Try looking under the black plastic container that seperates the cig lighter from the rest of the tray. I had a couple of coins under there that rattled. Just pull it out.

def not ash tray, cant see a loose switch. how do you mean fan for the vents??

and when i say centre of dash i mean half way along on the inside

its not engine related etc i dont think!! sounds as if its in the middle of the dash.

would need someone who has experienced it to explain properly!!

dont really wan have to start ripping it out without an idea as i am already half way thru doing other bits atm

Does it increase with the revs, not necessarily speed? i.e. if you sit in traffic and rev it, does it get louder and more consistent?

right... i have a f*#king annoying knocking noise from the front of my corsa.

it sounds as if it coming from the centre area (inside) and its a rattly/ knocking sound,

will love annoyone who knows lol cos im going mad over a rattle lol.

any ideas people
