Fixed it, crushed the top fuel hose on the fuel pump restricting the fuel flow.

Put it all back together, started fine, fuel gauge worked :D then 10 minutes later has now stopped working

Does the fuel pump casing have a clip or anything in the tank to keep it seated :boggle:

Think the sender in the tank may be jammed or something?

Tried the air flow meter? i had a similar problem on my corsa c and it was a wire going to the airflow meter that was broken.

how? the c16xe ecu wouldnt recognise a MAP signal, also the pins on the ecu are totally differnt.

unless you are using an x16xe ecu with a c16xe head?

sounds fuel related to me, a bit of a long shot but did you make sure you got the fuel lines on the same way as you took them off on the tank top? my old engine would only idle and died when revved when i made that mistake

no MAP on a c16xe. check for air leaks, and make sure its holding fuel pressure, then i'd try swapping a few sensors..

The cars heading for the scrap yard at the moment  It's mantzeld.

The car starts, then idles and then dies when the accelerator is pushed.

I've changed recently

Fuel pump,
Relay,
Crankshaft sensor,
Spark plugs

They where replaced a while ago, but this problem came around a week ago when i fixed the fuel gauge.

Any help appreciated.
