the subaru was doing this....

we replaced the clutch and flywheel.

old heat spotted warped flywheel (from hard launches etc)



new one

it can be re-ground, but i wouldnt advise it. i.e do you know how worn it is before you reface it, you could be taking it quite far back bal bla

chuck a new lightened one in :)

Usualy its only apparent with a shuddering when pulling away

that sounds about right what the best bet a new one or fix the one ive got?

yes... it can happen... heatspots etc

you find out by taking it out. Usualy its only apparent with a shuddering when pulling away or engaging the clutch.

went to a garage before and they seem to think it's my fly wheel out of shape. can that happen? how do i find out ?

its not 100% that...

make sure its not simple things first... engine mounts etc.

Clutch release bearing is inside the gearbox.... basically same work as new clutch.

Do a search.

engine mounts seem fine. and it's had new leads a few weeks ago and plugs are fine.how do you know if your bottom end is fucked

just been to have a look and there is a noise is coming from the clutch area and when i press the clushed down the vibrations stop.

are youre plugs n leads and compression ok? I.e is it firing correctly on all cylinders?

at the low rev it feels like the engine i vibratating more than it should be, i thought it was the exhaust blowing a first but cant see see problems with the exhaust has any one got any ideas. cheers richy
