The oil pressure isnt low. I found this out by cleaning oil from the garage roof

Top end, definetly

this is probably the mostly likely cause, unless the oil pressure is low? and the tapping is definetly coming from the top end

Here are my symptoms :

Tapping , tapping , tapping !

Constantly with no change, taps increase with revs.

Tried hydraulic lifter treatment etc , to no avail.

Gaskets are all fine.Tapping is coming from under rocker cover (head :look:)

So , I am going to replace the lifters. The engine was left standing for months before going in so I'm guessing one or two have seized.

Since the timing belt etc has to come off and they cost money , I'd just like a bit of reassurance that this is probably what the cause is . . .

Cheers
