unichip is more than capable of coping with cams and new inlet.

c20xe. its not running at the moment im still building it i just wanted to see what was best either just unichip or a new ecu or both. Its had head work done, new cams, uprated inlet manifold, custom exhaust, block lightened and balanced bored etc oversized pistons, every moving part has been lightend, uprated etc uprated fuel lines, pumps, fuel regulator and injectors i have done loads of other stuff to but thats the main parts. cheers

aswel?

You have a modified XE (c20?) that you have ordered a UNICHIP for. Are you asking if you should change the ECU for the UNICHIP to piggyback with/to?

If so, no.

If you mean instead of the UNICHIP, then maybe. A standalone mappable ECU like MBE/DTA will cost about the total price of the Unichip to buy, then mapping on top. Better results, but i cant see you needing it if you car runs on a std ECU.

BUT..... your car cant be really heavily modified if its running on std injection/ecu
