How would u go about puttin aftermarket pullies on the C/X16XE engine? blank the camshaft sensor off? :o

not affect the car in any way? in that case the EML wouldnt come on.

it does affect the running of the engine as with the EML in means that the ecu has replaced the correct signal from the cam sensor with a self generated one. it basicly retards the timing slightly so the engine runs a bit safer so as not to pink or det.

with the small lug broken off it will not affect the car in any way it will only cuase the engine managent ligth to stay on, i know this as this happened on my friends corsa, it did not make a single diffarence once we put a good one back one which wasnt broken, only stopped the managment light coming on.. chris

yeah we've snapped off the small lug on the bottom right of the exhaust cam.

Mainly the exhaust cam pulley - the one with the cam shaft sensor

We've just realised we may have broken off the small lug from the pulley.

on that pulley there are 3 big lugs and this small one - about 5mm wide i'd say.

Cheers Rob
