I used to have a similar noise, it was the split pin on the rear hubnut catching on the metal dustcap every time the wheel turned round ,lol.

Actually, it probably won't be a stone. In theory, the noise will disappear as you get quicker as the force will stop the stone from moving. The slower you go, the more it'll move about. Like spining a bucket of water around - the quicker it is, the water won't come out. The slower it is, the more that goes over your head

Don't just look for pins, look for stones too (in the tyre). Oh, if you have steels with trims, there may be a stone or something inside the trim rattling etc.

i thought about that but i dont think it is, its more like something stuck in the bearings but i put new ones on.

when driving slow in traffic .etc i can hear a clicking noise coming from i think the rear left side of the car. the clicking gets faster as the car goes faster but disapears after about 15 mph. i thought it was the rear bearings so i replaced them but its made no difference.
any ideas as to what it is?
thanks
