temperary fix to a problem till it can be checked over

i need a switch to everything powered by the battery so i can flick it and its like removing everything off the battery (i have a constant drain and this would solve it for now)

im thinking one of the switched with a cover over them that you flick up just so it can never be switched by mistake

but ive never wired a switch i need it to be incredibly safe and reliable dont want any risks

anyone any advice on best way to do it bear in mind i dont know how a switch is wired

thanks
