any gearbox of that age is hit or miss now

f13s r pretty good any cr box is b etter of course but that doesnt mean its likely to be fooked any more than a plain f13

oh forgot to say the numbers respond to torque capable of chucking through. and your engine isnt putting more torque through box - its just how you cant use clutch/box properly

get the cheapest box possible as youll be changing it again anyway if you dont change your driving style ;)

i dont get what your asking?? cr=close ratio

gear ratios are the number of cogs on input/output shaft - ie the closer the ratios are the quicker car goes through gears and gets speed up.

so really a gearbox is either "working" or not. doesnt matter what box?

right gearbox has been notchy since iv had the car (topped up 1litre of oil :o when i got it)

i tend to drop down a gear rather than breaking, and now i have a gearbox whine!

what i need to no is a F13cr a better/stonger box, i no it has better gearing but i guess there all be shagged by now???

unless anyone has a F15 laying around:thumbs:
