cant you use a X16XE, same mounts as the c16se, but better ngine, with more tuning mods

Yeah will be using the Allspeed frame:) I recently drove a completed one and love the power mixed with 45+mpg on a good run and reliability.

I considered the C20XE but it needs too many mods and cant keepthe injection set up:(

Yeah the XE is the 16valve the SE is the 8 valve.The engine is actually going in a 1972 mini for a track day car :)

nope c16se is an 8v engine i believe they were in nova's and astra's, you are getting it mixed with c16xe which is the 16v found in the GSi

Vauxhall! If not a dealership then try Autovaux as they're a bit cheaper than dealer prices. LMF Vauxhall will also be able to save you a few quid.

Hi, im looking at buying a C16se soon but would like to rebuild it before going in the car. I was wondering If anyone knew where I could get new piston rings, bearings and gaskets from for this engine.
