£90 for a gasket. :!

I'd re-check that if I were you.

You will need some torx sockets to undo the fisings.

Hi guys,

ive just taken my car to have a diagnostic done, came up with the egr valve. He said that if i take it off and clean it, it might fix it as usally its just the valve getting stuck on some carbon build up. If not he has got one for £50 quid i can have. Just checked the haynes manual though and it says that i will have to replace the gaskets on refitting. Is this a must, or will i get away with using the old ones. Just looked on autovaux for gasket prices and there about £90.

Another quick question. If i do remove the Egr is there any specifice tool i need to remove the bolts as they are star headed???

engine is 1.2 16 valve by the way

cheers Kiff
