If its a Corsa B, there isn't a brake fluid light on, its the handbrake/brake fluid light. It should do exactly as you have described, come on with the ignition in position 1 and stay on until the handbrake is lowered.

as long as I have read correctly, there isn't a problem with it at all.

Can anybody else confirm this?

it should come on when u turn the ignition on, along with the battery warning light, ECU light, and oil pressure light and air bag light if fitted. Then they all go out when u start the engine. I think, thats what mine does.

Help needed please, bought my first corsa b 2 weeks ago, can anyone confirm for me. when i switch on ignition the brake light/i light is lit, if i lower the handbrake the light is still lit, now when i start the engine all lights go out and when i pull the handbrake the light comes on , my point is that without the handbrake on and ignition on position 1 should the Brake/info light be on before starting , im worried it may fail the MOT if the light doesnt go out the handbrake switch is fine so why is the brake fluid light on ? i checked all cylinders etc .
