yeh its the one holding the bottom of the rear dampner. it just needs tightening. to check its loose, get under the gar and grip the dampner. if it moves up and down then that is ur problem. its a 2 minute job mate. hope this helps

i had exactly the same problem. though it was the exhaust knocjin but it was the bottom bolt (17mm i think) at the bottom of the rear dampner.

i just had some new dampners fitted, but the stripped the bolt, hence they would move slightly and the problem got worse and worse.

just tighed the bolt mate and job done. i can almost guarantee that is the problem

There is no way the spring can bounce around. If it's sat properly on the platform, the weight of the car will be on it. If it wasn't on the platform, you could tell as it wouldn't ride right.

Well if yours is -60mm Down at the back with will be the Exhaust/Clips hittin the rear beam and Rattling off it...Have a quick look under the car to see if the exhaust is just missin the rear beam

I have exactally the same problem, mine is drivers side.

It sounds to be like the spring is "bobbing" around when i go over the slightest bump.

Should there be like a bottom rubber mount for the spring to sit in or something?

Right, a while ago i was saying i had a knocking coming from the rear of my car and today i finally narrowed it down to the rear offside suspension area for definate.

Basically the noise when driving sounds like the exhaust rattling, but if you have weight in the boot theres like a grinding noise from the rear offside suspension/axle area.

Iv sprayed all the joints with oil but it still makes the noise. And im really clueless to what it could be.

Has anyone ever experienced this? Or does anyone has any idea what it could be?

Thanks for looking
