pollen filter needs changing

theres a horrible smell in my car as far as i can tell it's comin out of the heater vents, is it somthing to do with the heater matrix? could it be the pollen filter needing cleaning or are there any other filters in the heater matrix itself??

any help would be much apreciated :thumbs:
