also try the Coolant temp sensor on the front of the block, it screws into the thermostat housing, check the wiring and replace the sensor. they dont always show up via the em light but can cause lots of problems

Well i could be the coil breaking down when it gets hot. I had a problem with mine that was like this. I found out it the the coil lead. Lose connection and when it got hot it started to miss. Best thing to do is when the car get hot and starts to miss is disconnect the afm see if it still does it. Should help to rule that out

Is it coil or coilpack. It could be breakdown when it gets hot. Disconnect the AFM and see what happens when it get hot. it will run in limp home but you will see if it still does it

smell of fuel coz the ecu is not metreing the air flow accordingly, hense putting in to much fuel-air.does it run fine wen cold?

Is that what you reckon mate, thats wot ill try next then how come it only happens when its warm tho and the smell of petrol sorry for all the questions appreciating all your help tho

Yeah engine management light goes out smells ov petrol in da car so you dont think it will be the coil then its doing my head in mite drop another lump in it :(

would say that is a fuelling problem, would start by looking for vacum leaks failing that would check afm then start looking at injectors and earths on the main harness.

I have a mate with all the computer stuff to get into the ecu but it cant access it so dont no if it has any faults, you got any idea what it might be jus ad a new throttle position sensor about 2 months ago too.:thumbs:

Hi ppl im kinda new on here but could really do with some help. My car has a 2litre 16v red top engine in it and when the car gets warm and i try putting the power down hard it starts miss firing. Its fine when its cold and if you put on the power easy its ok. Ive jus serviced the car and it aint losing water. Has any1 else got any ideas im thinking about the coil next and a new set of leads. Can some 1 please point me in the right direction as its 1 ov these jobs that could do your head in :lol:
