hmm, i did slacken it off a few days ago. I'll check the tightness of it. There is also a kink in the pipe like my old one, lol

sounds like the belt is loose mate just get under and tighten it with a 19mm. they are always stretching on the 2 litres for some reason

when you turn the pump is under more strain

sound like pump to me.....have you checked your fluid level recently?

Sometimes, after i've gone round a corner this weird sound appears, a very loud whining sound which won't dissapear until i stop the engine and wait a few seconds.

Its definately to do with the powersteering as when the sound is there, the steering goes all heavy and feels like somethings grinding when i steer.

Could the pump just be knackered? but why would it only do it occasionally?
