it will be the wire on the thermostat housing come off probably, its a very common problem. look for a blue wire with a spade connector its next to the cts on the thermostat housing just push it back onto the temp sender below the cts | |

Sounds like the temp sender isnt working to me, rather than a thermostat issue. | |

Check the hose on the stat housing to see if it warm when the engine reaches the point at when the fan kicks in,if it is then stat is working.The fact the guage doesnt work is probably either a fuse but i think it would stop other things working too or it may be the temp reader that screws into the side of the stat housing could be unplugged or just shagged.:thumbs: | |

i have just purchased a 1.6 sport x16xe, now i think the thermostat may have a problem, though i would like to confirm it before i call the dealer back... |
