it would work and drive but the ignition and fuelling will be out

Reason I ask is that I would like if possible , an ecu without immobiliser for my x16xe.

Now if the SRi was an x14xe (which it was) , and did not have an immobiliser as part of the ecu then surely it would work with my x16xe due to it being same sensors etc ?
