It depends if the head is transferrable. And also if the ports and/or valve size is different.

For example, the X16XEL engine has a X14XE (small ports) head. If you change this for an X16XE (large ports) head, you will get more power.

As for the increase on a Peugeot, i am not sure.

Right, bloke in work seems to think that all he needs to do is change the head on his 1.1 to the one from a 1.4/6 and this will = more power... I somewhat doubt this... Is this true or false???
