the bodyshop that did mine used a brand new one from ford as there one of the strongest, think the mk3 fiesta came with them on

if it only opens half way then you have to push your boot open at the same time it pops.

why its a double catch - the boot won't open

hit mine numerous times - it just opens to the first stop :p :boggle:

you have to have a solenoid, then you can either wire it up to just a switch and put it on the dash or somewhere, or you can do what i have done and put it on the rear wiper stalk which makes it look alot neater

feel a pillock if you accidentally hit it when turning front wipers on when ur on the motorway tho.
