i had a dignostic done and it said it was the lambda sensor. just try unplugging the afm first. you soon know if thats the problem

out of the 2 above it is more likely to be the AFM.

the icv has no relevance to the problem occuring at 4k rpm.

easiest way is to get a diagnostics test done. cheaper as well in the long run.

paper clip test on a 1.2 16v.........nope, cant be done!

I'd look into your air flow meter, idle stepper motor (ICV) 2 common problems with these engines, had both go myself and know a few people who'd have similar problems.

If its the AFM, you'll be looking at 200notes to have it plugged and purchasing the part yourself.

If its the ICV about 100notes all in, again if you buy the part.

I'd defo says 1 of the above.

Why will he? If he does the paperclip test he can find out what sensor is at fault, order a new one and if he's capable - replace it.

why would it be the temp sensor? what relevance would that have to the problem occuring at 4k rpm?

if you dont know the answer to the problem, why guess? it doesnt help anyone!

Might be anything else also. No point in taking a guess and spending loads of money for nothing. Either take it to Vauxhall and ask them for a diagnostic check or do the paperclip test.

when i get to 4000 rpm the engine mangment light comes an it struggles to rev any harder, you have to let your foot of the throttle and let it go back to 2000 rpm to go off again, any ideas
