Last one I did had 14 bent valves and 8 cracked guides. So £100 just for head work

im willing to bet it will have bent at least 12 valves.

Repair bill could be anywhere between £500 and a grand depends on what route is taken!

im not sure what revs the car was at, im guessing i was doin about 30mph so maybe 2.5k. all i wanted was a rough price as to how much it could cost me and what might need changing.

My bad...

What revs? Best bet is to take the head off and asses the damage. Might just need a new set of valves and a head re-build...

No, but I think that in translation that sentence is supposed to say:

My cambelt has smapped. How much do you think it would cost to repair this. On another note, how much would it cost to replace the engine with a 1.6 16v engine in case the cost of the reapir is so great a new engine is required.

Though the English is very bad so it's hard to make out.

It could also be an 8v engine which only needs the engine re-timing and the belt replacing.

That would depend Ry_B. If the belt snapped at 5000rpm then there could be holes in the engine. If it snapped at idle there could only be 3 or 4 bent valves.

Getting a new/replacement engine will probably be the cheapest option.

Most/all the valves will probably be bent.
