which i dont have

if i fit 10mm spacers the wheels will be outside the arches as they sit directly under them at the which is causing rubbing issues as it is :(

in the fitting instructions it says you need at least 5mm of clearance

which is about this much:

they still bite the hub nicely but i think il try to get longer ones for peice of mind :)

what do you rekon on the clearance still been so tight though?

6mm will need longer bolts imo

what is everybody elses clearence like?

At the moment it is lowered how i would like it to be and there is no rubbing and the wheel spins freely. But it is very close. i can only just fit a thin sheet of card through it is this safe as i cant see it been able to move as the coller and spring goes up with the wheel does it not :|

had to be at the top without spacers but now i have them about halfway down inline with the rim (16" wheels)

where abouts did you have the spring locking plates height wise?

well with my 6mm spacers on it does not appear to rub

but it is very close. and im unsure on the amount of thread i have left on the bolts to engage the hub.

at this rate i might just sell them and just buy some 60mm springs :(

with et45 you will probably need 10mm spacers, longer bolts and longer locking bolts.

rally design do a spacer kit inc bolts for £12

Make sure you buy big enough spacers I got 5mm and they seemed ok but 2 tyres wore through on the inside wall

Now on 10mm and having checked they do seem ok but its still VERY close!

Halfords sell 9.5mm spacers for Vauxhall think thats there biggest I got mine online with longer bolts from same company arrived next day if I find the link i'l post it up mate.

ah bugger read that just as ive walked back in the door with a pair of 5mm spacers :o
they were a tenner though so if it dont work il buy another set (if its ok to run two on each).
if im just doing 5mm for now are my standard bolts ok?

started to fit my RSX coilovers today. I have fitted one of the fronts but the wheel dont spin as it is rubbing on the spring and locking plates.

my wheels are et45 at the mo and im not sure if i can run spacers because of arch clearance issues :(

anything else i can do?
