1 by a new rubber about £2 each
2 and3 replace the hoses £15-£20 max for standard ones
4.change the rear shoes may be something to do with number 7

5,6 and 7 new bearings required about £5-7 each

8. see number 4

its 2-3 hour work once you have the parts 1/2 a day if you take you time while your at it change the front pads

about £50 worth of parts worst ways if ya cant do it prob 2-3 hours labour. dont wory i have have seen cars fail on more than that :o you know you i trouble when thay abandon the test (seen that done one on a mk2 escort

If it's your pride and joy then git it fixed.

Most of those parts are quite a cheap fix if you DIY.

Took my pride and joy for a MOT and it is no longer my pride and joy...

Failed Miserably is the problem, So the problem is, Can either Fix it, Sell it (with no MOT), Trade it in ?? (if u can with no MOT)... or take it doon the strathy and burn it for insurance money...Anyway heres whats wrong, thoughts???



Measurements:

Brakes Failures: RBT Park Brake Efficency: 13% (no more handbrake Turns for that then )

Tested Items that Failed:

01 Rear Exhaust System has a mounting that it does not fully support the exhaust system.

02 Nearside front brake hose ferrule excessively corroded

03 Offside front brake hose ferrule excessively corroded

04 Offside rear parking brake recording little of no effect

05 Nearside rear wheel bearing has excessive play

06 Nearside rear wheel bearing has excessive roughness in a rear wheel bearing

07 Offside rear wheel bearing excessive roughness in a rear wheel bearing

08 Parking brake efficency below requirements


So thats the end of that then? any suggs on what to do with it? and cost wise to get it fixed?
