negative camber, is where the wheels push in at the top and push out at the bottom. If there is a lot of negative camber, it will touch the coilover. You can adjust this by the two bolts on the coilover. The wheels need to be push out at the top.

who put the coilovers onthe front you or a garage

sounds like that your coilovers aint set up properly my speedlines are et49 an sit very close to the coulovers

sounds to me like your camber is set up wrong you definately dont need spacers with et45 and them things the lad at the shop gave you were probably spiggot rings for the inside of the alloy whell to centralise it upon fitments

wots the negative camber? i think it actually rubbin against the actual metal ring that adjusts the height of the suspension.

if you are running FK coilover, you can adjust the amount of negative camber you are running. If you have too much negative camber, this might cause the tyre to rub against the coilover.

ive got loads of spacers, 3, 5, 10 mm.

if you go more than 3mm then remember to use longer wheel bolts! got a full set of 10mm spacers, longerbolts and longer locking nuts here if you need them. only used for 1 week then iI fitted new wheels.

take it back to them then! you paid them for a proffesional service! they should have sent the car away in a safe and roadworthy condition. if they are an MOT station then if they dont accept responsibility report them to the ministry of transport, that will get them to pay up for 2 new tyres.

so you drove with them rubbing on the suspension?

didnt you check they rotated freely first?

bought 16" wheels offset 45. got em fitted (my car aredy lowered 60mm) and as i drive i can hear them rubbing at the back and smel rubber. so went back and had to get my old wheels back on for now as i got to go to my body garage to get arch work done. any way not only that but my front two tyres are now fucked. they wernt rubin on the arch but on the inside on my fk coilovers and has fucked em fully n now need new tyres at front. 195/40/16 wich will cost me 70 quid each. i avnt even done a mile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so i orderd spacers for the front two. will that cure the problem??
