Yeah just replace what you take off, so 145's yeah. They will be cheaper too.

Its going to need at least new fronts before too long, and the backs arent exactly new either, so if it was suppost to have the 165s instead of the 145s on i would have just got those fitted instead but if the 145s are correct then i can just pick up those, was just somewhat confused as i was getting told both ;).

The older rims are narrower i think, they are defo different rims anyway. Just put on what you take off is the best way

Well it depends what you put on when you go and buy new ones now I suppose as none will be running the original tyres. Can I just ask why it matters ? :)

The newer ones have 165 70 13's, but with it being a 94 model it should have the 145 80 13's on.

Im trying to find out what size tyres should be fitted to the standard 13inch steel rims on a 1994 1.4 8v LS. I seem to get conflicting info on this as most/all websites i check say 165/70 R13, but the haynes manual says 145 R13 and the car itself has 145/80 R13 on it at the moment (fitted by the last owner i'd assume). Which of the two should it have?
