go for the drive shaft there is a 3stud shaft and a 4stud shaft | |

done the bearing it was 250nm, i used the garages autodata book. but...... the ferkin thing still wobbles!!! help? anyone? | |

hmm i think thats how it will have to be, though unlike the corsa rear bearings which are taper ones, the front one on this pile of poo seems to be a sealed unit which is held in with a circlip. ill just use my judgement me thinks. | |

but on most cars its a case of tightening the nut on the end of the shaft while rotating the bearing to settle it in. tighten it so that it just 'nips' then then slacken off slightly until the retaining pin can be inserted through the hole in the shaft. dont tighten it to get the pin in the hole, always slacken it.:thumbs: | |
