solved it thanks to vaux_tech took off egr valve cleaned it and put it back in car now runs better than ever cheers mate:thumbs: | |

thats a good possibility wot do i do to solve this remove the egr valve and clean it manually by hand?? | |

usually on the 1.4 16v's if you do a headgasket, when you remove the old inlet manifold gasket, it sticks to the manifold and is a bastard to get off, sometimes little bits of the gasket get lost in the inlet ducts and wedge in the egr valve, so it cant open and close like usual, making it cut out and run like shit. this is a big possibility | |

Just seems a bit of a co incidence that you get the gasket done then it fucks up, I'd double check it mate. | |

Have a look for the usual head gasket symptoms - Oil in water, white slime under oil filler cap | |

car cutting out plz help mate just done head gasket on his 1.4 16v corsa and was idealing sweet drove 6 mile now car wont idle any ideas |
