i tend to earth with a thicker AWG than my live, also your earth MUST be shorter than the live wires.

you can test a sub your self by measuring the resistance between the two terminals. if its infinite, the coils have gone. i dont know how to test an amp your self thou...

They tested the amp itself?

How?

Did they use the current earthing point? If so, that could still be the problem.

Try grounding it off of one of the seatbelt mounts. They are a bit more substantial.

Ok I currently have the amp grounded on the left-hand side factory ground point in where you go to change the bulbs ect. I get noise on my sub occasionally, and it pop's when I turn on head unit and when I turn it off. Could this be the ground I am using?

If it is then were would you lads suggest I ground the amp to?

Thanks Linch
