If your name is anything to go by, and you drive a 12v corsa, you'll be on chains, the whining noise will just be you aux belt/alternator. Mine does this sometimes when its a bit damp. | |

could be cambelt rollers, alt roller, water pump get a mechanic to lend an ear for you | |

Could be the alternator, very common on corsas for them to whine. | |

Well if the belt snaps you can bend the valves. | |

Cambelt bearings have gone, get it looked at straight away. Don't drive it. | |

got a whining noise coming frm around the cambelt area wen i rev the car any idea's wot this cud be? cheers |
