na it aint a 12v its a 1.6 sport mate

If your name is anything to go by, and you drive a 12v corsa, you'll be on chains, the whining noise will just be you aux belt/alternator. Mine does this sometimes when its a bit damp.

could be cambelt rollers, alt roller, water pump get a mechanic to lend an ear for you

Could be the alternator, very common on corsas for them to whine.

Well if the belt snaps you can bend the valves.

That might not be the problem though, but its better to be safe than sorry!

any idea how much this would cost to get repaired? wot wil hapen if i keep driving it?

Cambelt bearings have gone, get it looked at straight away. Don't drive it.

got a whining noise coming frm around the cambelt area wen i rev the car any idea's wot this cud be? cheers
