X14XE to C16XE, you need to make sure you get the full loom for the C16XE, and the ECU, as they are both different to the X14XE ones. other than that, 2 day job

i swapped my x14xe for a x16xel an the only difference was the knock sensor wire

if i had of got a x16xe then everything would have been same on the loom

obviously you would still change ecu, chip an transponder

I wouldn't say it was pointless. The 1.6 will give quite a considerable increase in torque/mid range over the 1.4. Also if he plan's to tune the engine at all a 1.6 will be the better bet both for gain's and financially.

how hard is it to change the engine from a 1.4 16v sri to a 1.6Gsi engine??
