You cant get the standard ecu remapped,a chip is as bad as it wont be optimised for a mantzel box, just a standard car.
A dastek unichip is a 'piggy back' ecu which allows you to remap a standard ecu but obviously isnt as good as a full aftermarket ecu,
saying that the unichip is an exellent companion to a manzel box as it is mapped on a rolling road to your specific engine, not just an 'off the shelf' chip.
If you go for more mods like cams and headwork it can be re mapped again to take the new mods into account.

so would it be better off to get a chip and have it mapped? but you could use your standard ecu and have that re-mapped??

dastek is a good option with a mantzel

dont NEED it mapped as it will run fine without but its an advantage to have it mapped with higher rev limit etc...

need to have the ecu re-mapped or can you let it run as the same?
