buy a haynes manual:) everything you will ever need to know is in there. £13 well spent imo.

please somebody tell me if these are all that need to be undone to get the job done:

I've never done this so it'll be a new thing for me...LOL....but from what I've read ^^^ it seems (seems) to be easy to get done.

BTW can somebody also show me on the pic where to put any sealer if needed (corsa808 stated where the end bearing caps for the cams meet the head)

WHat all do I need to buy to get it done?

thanks a lot:)

No smoke coming out at the rear. so nothing that drastic yet, init?

hope it's only the rocker cover gasket.

where to get it cheap?

Also, apart from the explanation of johnny27, any suggestion?

never heared that one before, cant see how it would snap the cambelt:boggle: it would just burn off.

You may also find the the spark plugs wells are filled with oil. This happens when the rocker cover gasket has failed and not replaced for quite a while.
Could eventually cause a misfire, so you should check and clean out the wells and the plug leads. make sure your get all the oil removed from the well with a rag before you remove the spark plug (if needed), apperantly if this oil gets into the bores, it can cause the cam belt to snap, don't ask my how i just have heard this, something to do with friction on the piston, could be BS though

BTW I just checked my oil level, it has decreased considerably. Is this which is causing this or some other problem?:boggle:

they need sealer where the end bearing caps for the cams meet the head. just a thin smear of hermatite red should be fine.

agreed with rocker gasket, looks like its been off at sum point any way cuz of the sealer round it, its a rubber gasket and they dont need sealer
