If the blue remote wire isn't connected you shouldn't have any problem.

Here is a diagram of my ISO loom

Kenwood Iso Loom

Which wire should I cut?

i also have 3 loose wires connected to the radio end plug but loose from the ISO/Car eng plug. they are

Sky Blue wire which has label saying REMO.CONT and number SA 2168

Royal Blue and White wire which has label saying ANT.CONT, P.CONT and number SA 1553

Brown wire which has label saying Tel Mute and number SA 1569

What should be done with these wires?

Cover the remote out with a bit of tape and it saves cutting wires.

Certain aftermarket units use this particular pin for something else for example a feed for a power amp as such when the radio is on it tries to in this instance power the amp but what it actually does is tell the car the radio is on. So the little car switchs the date off because it wants to tell you what you are listening too. Certain radios dont use this pin at all as such the car never gets a feed so thinks you dont turn the radio on and tell you the date. So.... you can get around this problem by not letting the car think the radio is switched on or to put it simply "snip the silver wire with the red tracer at the back of the headunit"!

Hope this helps!!

Hi everyone

I have a T reg Corsa B model. Now the situation is I have taken out my original standard corsa stereo (CDR500 for those who want to know). But without realising that I didnt take the code off the radio so the thing is useless now . No bother though because I have a new head unit to put in, which has yet to be put in. But what I need help for is the digital display above the dash (which shows time, date and temperature) also has blacked out ever since the original radio had been removed, and I was wondering if I can somehow get it back working once I have installed my new head unit. Does anyone know what to do?
