I know its a old post, but where do you get gel filled batteries from??? | |

What sort of spec would I be looking at for one of those race spec batteries. | |

It's also good as it reduces weight high up and moves it to th eback to distrubite it better. Ideally I'd for th batter mounted in the spare wheel well to get it as low as possible. or better still use a gel filled race one which is tiny and put it under the pasanger seat. | |

remove the original terminals off the +'ve connection, mounted them to a battery cut off switch, earthed the earts to the bulk head. put battery in the back rear 1/4 as in the picture below, ran a bit of welding earth wire to the cut off switch and battery thru the bulk head and earthed the battery to the boot floor. | |

might be some pics in my garage, i used some mega thick amp cable and 2 project boxes from maplins for the connections under the bonnet. | |

battery in battery box in the spare wheel, used the 4ga amp wiring i already had there. | |

Erm... i believe you just extend the main wires to the battery through the bulk head and to the rear where you have the battery placed, some people have bridged wires i think and just ran one big power lead to the battery at the rear :) | |
