you may not need to change your waterpump, its not as nesasarry like with the XE's where you r adviced to change if with every belt change. Altough if you tension the belt with the water pump you may or may not need to replace the water pump seal, its luck of the draw, sum times it leaks sum times not.

honestly i think u prob could atleast strip off the head, u could then get some help for fitting and torque down the head and fitting the timing belt. Just lose off the exhaust manifold, or even just the down pipe, disconnect all hoses and wire from the inlet manifold, take off the water pipe from the head (optional if you want to drain the block first) lose off the dizzy very simple, then lose the head bolts in sequence just a little at a time, take it in about 2 or 3 goes to save u from warping the head anymore. U can leave the inlet attached to the head when taking it off, its much eaiser to lose if off from the head on the bench.

if the head gasket goes on a corsa 1.2 8v, what is involved in repairing the problem ? is it just taking the head off and replacing the gasket?
also what does it usually cost to have done ? £200 ? or more?
