Most of us actually know what we are doing, you are talking to at least 3 halfords employees, or at least ex employees, who all work(ed) on ripspeed by the sound of it. Why have a go at us, instead of asking if one of us can help?
If the staff are that useless, ask the manager if they have received specific training in that field.
When we get new items, or at least a new range like the iPod connections, all staff should get the training in that field. All I'm saying is in my opinion, not all staff get that, but others do.
If you ask the manager, even if he says they have, at least he will know they need more guidance in those things.

I will say I haevn't heard much about the harmon kardon unit, although it does look slick, with the same iPod style button (wheel with others built in) which is separate from the rest of the unit, and just sits on the dash while the iPod is hidden away.
There is also the option of the Icelink plus, which connects through the cd changer input on the back of some standard headunits. Again, the same as harmon kardon, this is £149.99 fitted, but can be controlled completely by the headunit, using folders, song skip, volume etc., it does all the basic functions.

yet some of us know the answer to that question, i think it would be wise not to tar everyone with the same brush?

personaly i would recoment the harmon kardon unit at 149.99, not too sure off the top of my head if it is compatable with your sterio but if you call or visit your local store you can find out for sure

Don't be so quick mate, lots of people off here work in halfords, including me. We sell a kit at the moment that is £99.99 fitted and will fit all radio's with an aerial connection, and it includes a car specific bracket. Just go into your local halfords and ask the audio specialist about it, although I would advise going to the largest store in your area, as they usually are more organised, and know more.

Remeber - £99.99 fitted, works with all iPods and comes with a bracket specific for most mainstream cars.
