yea, that is no problem, just do like they said, wire the remote up to a ignition live or cut the blue cable. Refer to your user manual to make sure you cut/use the correct one!

what the JBL? if so sounds cool :D

If my headunit is not compatable is there any way i can make it compatable?
Although i cant see it been a problem as it has a wire/connector coming out of the back which im presuming is some sort of preout so all should be well shoudnt it ?

Cheers Gavin :)

So is that better then the FLI active unit?

Also is the one 2v preout from my head unit all i need to link it up? How does it connect as it just seems to be a wire to me with a connector on the end :|

gavin18787

found out my head unit has one 2v preout this any good?

have a budget of about £150 max really

Would you recomend JBL over FLI then. As ive seen a JBL package of 400w amp, 12" sub, box and wiring kit for £120 which seemed ok

Would need to know the model really mate -unless u know if it has any preouts (if it does you should be fine)

as for a good budget package - just depends on your budget and how good a system you want

could be worth sending mad4corsa a u2u - he had a sub and amp 4 sale recently mate

Im currently running a headunit with front components and 6x9's in the rear door cards.

But i am now thinking of upgrading by front speakers ditching the 6x9's and getting a sub.

What would be a good budget sub package to go for are the FLI active inclousures any good? and can they be run from a basic headunit (JVC cd/mp3 thing) can get model and more info if needed

Cheers Gavin :)
