yes, often i have to rev it highly to prevent it from stalling because it will often judder then cut out

if the pedal sits too low then you arent releaseing the clutch properly and you need to re-adjust the cable to bring the pedal up.

do you get a juddering feeling when you let the clutch out?

Its not so much when im driving along, and it doesnt do it when idling, just when you raise the clutch a little, the revs go up and down on there own

random revving when your driving along is a fucked clutch, normally.

Its around the middle, probably nearer the bottom, although its not very specific and it varies with the revs going up and down

My car has had trouble through the gears for a while now, I need it sorting but cant really decide what the main problem is.

When I bought the car I was told the clutch was on its way out, however people tell me the gearboxes are weak and when driving i often have trouble getting in gears and the stick gets stuck and it takes brute force to get it in gear sometimes! Also I have trouble getting into reverse and it will often slip out.

This lead me to believe it was the gearbox that was infact the problem but why would the guy who sold it say it was the clutch?

Well a few things have lead me to believe it might be the clutch, when holding on the biting point the revs are all over the shop when im not even changing anything, and often when i pull off the car will stutter and the revs will go up and down rapidly then cut out :boggle:

I would rather buy the part and get it fitted rather than pay stupid timewasting rates that pug charge. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated
