Had car put onto computer, came up with 7 faults  Most where pointing to EGR valve, so looks like thats fully ballsed, but one came up with o2 sensor, but he said that again could be due to the EGR valve not doing its job properly :( Booked in for a new EGR valve and hopefully o2 sensor is fine if not looks like its another week of no moddin :! Cheers for the help lads

you can eliminate this by finding it and unplugging it and seeing if the problem is cured

I do not have a good knowledge of engines... but i have a 98 corsa sport 1.4

The car is fine most of the time but every now and again it plays up! i have not had the engine managment light on yet which i do not know if its good or bad.. but the problem is.

I go to switch the ignition on and the car starts up then dies straight away! the revs do not hold! some times it will start and the revs will hold but when i put some revs on they go down then back up! then sometimes it will be just normal. I do not know why this is, can any one help me? i have been told EGR valve but i do not want to pay to get a new one fitted if it could be something else! so what are the poss causes and how can they be fixed. Cheers
