its nothing to do with the cold, i can drive for half hour and the needle hardly moved then eventually it gets upto 90

you'll notice that it takes a while to get to temp and then it'll probs be a fair few degrees below what it usually runs at just cos its so cold. Mine doesn't even get to 90 degrees after about 13 miles as the cold air is cooling the radiator so quick (and cold coolant means cold heater matrix, and therefore cold heaters.) Make sure you have enough antifreeze in system so you don't get frozen blockages

My heaters take a fair while to heat up and also the temp gauge doesnt move for ages and doesnt show correct temp

does this mean thermostat is broke?
