hi mate, got it all going in the end then:D

airlock is my first guess, run the engine on idle with the coolant cap off the bottle. when it gets hot put the blowers on in the car (on hot) let it bubble over for about 20 secs.

turn off engine, top up coolant and take it for a spin.

if thats not cured it, check your stat.

Hey i recently swapped ma engine ova and all of sudden my temperature gauge is goin really high, really fast ... so under a light from my mobile fone tnite i took the plug out jus incase of air leak .... Anyways once done i went for a drive - Hot air and fan came on when on tickover

The thing is, went for blast down a local bypass and the temperature gauge goes higher quicker when i have my foot down .... Let off .. the temperature comes down ... .

Hope this is a dodgey thermo ???

Cheers
