My mate who fitted the engine has just fitted the 1.6 wirin, and phoned me up to tell me its runnin fine now :) Thanks for the the help everyone.. but all the stress ive had has made me dislike the car.. so it'll be up for sale within a couple weeks!

its a knock sensor fault mate. if the knock sensor isnt getting a correct reading, the sensors will throw up loads of faults. the knock sensor wiring on a 1.4 16v and 1.6 16v are different.

check all earths on or around the injector/inlet area

both ECU's said the same so i dont think its the ECU. Gonna try the wirin.. this is a friggin nightmare though i hate it :(

If the scanner wont communicate i'd say its ecu/wiring related.

Tell me about it.. wont be doin another. Want it sorted then gettin rid, this has made me dis like the car :( Gonna get summat newer like a mk4 Astra SRi.

Does anyone reckon it'll be the wiring then causin that? Dont really fancy rippin out the whole loom if it aint that.

Right just done the paper clip test and its reeling off nearly every friggin sensor on the car :lol: It started with 12 12 12 as it says it would then it went 47 47 47 (which is the egr) then 85 85 85 (injector 5) then 84 84 84 (injector 4) then 18 18 18 (knock control unit).. and so on i got to 9 sensors and got bored. Theres no way in hell all them sensors or parts of my engines are broke? Do you think its a wiring problem?

The engine is out of a P reg Tigra 1.6i (x16xe) My car is a P reg Corsa 1.4 Sport (x14xe) we have used the original corsa wiring loom, but we have used the tigra ecu.. do you think the problem is in the wiring of the engine or not?

do a paperclip test.

that will tell you the fault. then fix it. job done:thumbs:

could be anything.... but is your crank angle sensor tight?

Fitted a x16xe into my previously 1.4 sport (x14xe) Got it in changed the ecu etc, and ive started it and it ticks over fine.. when you drive it though the mangement light is on and it misses really bad. It feels slower than a 1 litre! Changed the plugs and leads and its made no difference. Im at the point where i feel like kickin the car in. Anyone got any suggestions what it can be? I tried pluggin my mates snap on diagnostics computer to it but its not communicating. I tried it as both 1.4 sport and 1.6 sport. This is really gettin to me now so any help would be much appreciated. Cheers
