ive adjusted the timing and it runs a lot better now
much improved
not 100% but much better i can start it now and it dont cutt out and itll hold revs
got a new dizzy cap and rotor arm to go on

and ill see about mot'ing it

take off dizzy give all the points inside it a damn good scrape / clean

when i last checked mine it had moisture inside it and the points were greeny colour scraped the green crap off and car was alot happier

oh and on the vacumm pipe there is no 1 way valve but thats just for the brakes, , shudnt affect the engine?

no modz at all
engine was spot on when removed
and now in this car it runs shite

i can only assume it has somthing to do with the fuel pump to high or low
or the ecu isnt wired in correctly

it sounds like a timing prob but the ignition is distributed by the dizzy so :boggle:

also the coil is only bolted down with 1 bolt instead of 2 dunno if that would cause it? if it is ill be made up :)

to me it sounds like a timing problem is it advanced to far what modz do you have

did you have a timing belt off it recently? plugs and dizzy dont have any moister on them do thy?

ok firing order is correct, so now what could be casuing this problem

right 1.2 8v

idle's rough
when revved sounds like its firing into the inlet
really throughty brraawwwppp into airbox
pops also

what could be up?
also is there a diagram for the leads on a lucas dizzy so i can check the leads are correct?
