the bit where the rubber sheath stops and the cable comes out over the top of the injector harness.
the cable is clipped into the bracket with a kinda c-clip type affair onto the ribbed bit of plastic within the cable sheath.

move the clip a couple of notches to untension the cable.

yes thats what i mean, its not shutting properly. where do you mean the clamping point?

thats not shut like that.
the small peg bit should hit the plate sticking up vertically just below the cable in your pic.
i think you may have it adjusted wrongly at the clamping point at the back of the cam cover.

throttle shoul snap open and shut.......

strip it down and re-build it, must be something physically stopping it from shutting properly

try cleaning out the throttle body first they get coked up and stick either that or lub the spring and cable up a bit

is this possible? on my XE the throttle is a little sloppy, i mean it doesnt return to the correct position for idle everytime so its sitting at roughly 1200rpm ocasionaly.

Is it possible to tighten the spring that pulls it back? if so how please?

ta. :)
