i would use new cams personally, or it may wear your nice new followers unevenly, plus depending on mileage new cams can liven up the engine even if they are standard.

Wont be a problem, just use a load of cam lube with them and change the oil a couple of hundred miles afterwards.

Hi, just baught a full set of Valve Lifters/Cam Followers for my x14xe and upon recieving them there is a sticker on the packaging warning that they should not be used in conjunction with 'used' cams which i was hoping on doing. Is this just to cover their own backs for if something goes wrong due to the fitting of these valve lifters with the used cams? does anyone know about this as im not to experianced when it comes to this. Could it cause me any problems by using my existing cams?? as i cant really afford new cams aswell because the lifters were 8 quid each alreay! one of my mates who is a mechanic is helping me fit them at the weekend along with a new timing belt kit so anyones help and advice would be much appreciated..:o
