This is a common fault on the corsa it is the electric power steering motor (EPS) it will cost you about £650 to sort.

the c's have speed sensitive steering so should become heavier at higher speeds

I think there is a big problem with the steering on my car which I’m guessing is a dodgy steering rack or electronic motor. When turning left the steering is far too light as normal on a C but on turning right becomes heavy. |
